Rockstar lists November 19, 2026 as the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. When does GTA 6 come out?

Rockstar’s official site and Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 announcement give November 19, 2026. Take-Two said preorders would open June 25 at midnight local time. Which platforms will GTA 6 be on?

• Checked prices: US Standard / Ultimate: $79.99 / $99.99. Spain Standard / Ultimate: €79.99 / €99.99. The Xbox Spain store lists the digital Ultimate upgrade for €20; the Xbox US store lists it for $20. These are market-specific store prices, not a universal upgrade price.

Preorder bonuses, GTA+ and preload

Rockstar Support says digital preorders and purchases of either edition before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack: a ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern. The physical preorder listing also specifies a code for the game and this pack.

• GTA+: this is separate from the Vintage Vice City Pack and has platform-specific digital-purchase terms. Take-Two described the month for digital preorders. PlayStation Spain extends its offer to eligible digital Standard or Ultimate purchases before November 20; claim by March 31, 2027, once per account. The month is added to an existing GTA+ subscription, and the PlayStation terms say it continues monthly at the then-current price until canceled; the Ultimate Edition Upgrade is not eligible. Xbox Spain’s digital listing says to buy before November 19 at 23:59:59, redeem within 180 days, and limits redemption to one per account on each platform; age-restricted child accounts cannot redeem it. Rockstar’s physical preorder listing specifies a game-and-pack code, not a GTA+ month, so do not assume a physical order includes that subscription offer. Rockstar names Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as the protagonists. An easy score goes wrong and draws them into a criminal conspiracy across the fictional state of Leonida, forcing them to rely on each other. Vice City is one location within the state. Rockstar describes the game as a single-player experience; this is the announced premise, not a mission-by-mission plot summary.

What is confirmed for PS5 and Xbox?

Sony describes PS5 features including DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, the controller speaker, Tempest 3D AudioTech and use of the high-speed SSD. Sony labels the game PS5 Pro Enhanced and says it “plays best” on PS5; that is platform messaging, not an independent benchmark.
